Terms of service.
The agreement between you and Stromation LLC for use of SelfOperate. Plain terms, and no promises the product cannot keep.
1. What this covers
These terms govern your use of SelfOperate, operated by Stromation LLC(“we”). By using the service you agree to them. If you are agreeing on behalf of a company, you confirm you are authorised to do so.
2. What the service does
SelfOperate helps you build and operate a business: research and a recommendation you approve, the assembly of company systems, verification of what was built, and an optional ongoing operating layer that handles recurring work inside limits you set. We describe current capabilities on the site; features arrive over time and are not promised by a particular date.
3. Your account
You are responsible for the accuracy of what you tell us, for keeping your sign-in credentials secure, and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your authorisation.
4. You own your business
Accounts we help create are registered in your name and belong to you. Your business data, customer records, domain, content and third-party accounts remain yours throughout and after this agreement. We do not hold your business hostage to a subscription, and we do not claim ownership of what you build.
5. Automation, AI and its limits
Parts of SelfOperate use automated systems and AI models. These are useful and they are not infallible: output can be wrong, incomplete, or unsuitable for your circumstances. You are responsible for reviewing work before relying on it, and for decisions made about your business. Where an action carries consequence, the product is built to ask rather than assume.
6. Permissions and approvals
You decide what SelfOperate may do. Actions are read-only, approval-required, or permitted, according to limits you set, and you can change or withdraw those permissions at any time. Withdrawing a permission may stop related work from running.
7. Connected third-party services
Connecting an account — Google, a payment processor, or another provider — is your authorisation for SelfOperate to act within the permissions you granted. Those providers are independent, operate under their own terms, and may change or withdraw access. We are not responsible for a third party’s acts, outages, pricing or policy decisions.
8. Your responsibilities
- Use SelfOperate lawfully, and for a legitimate business.
- Do not upload content you have no right to, or that is unlawful or malicious.
- Do not attempt to breach isolation between customers, or to access another customer’s data.
- Hold the licences, registrations and insurance your business actually requires.
- Meet your own tax obligations.
9. Fees
Prices are shown on the pricing page. One-time build fees are charged upfront. Self Operate is a recurring monthly subscription, and activation depends on where you are starting from — during a new business build, or after an audit of a business that already trades. Fees exclude sales tax, which is added where applicable, and exclude third-party costs.
Founding pricing
Early pricing is offered while the product proves itself. There is no countdown and no seat limit. If founding pricing ends we will say so; existing subscriptions will not have their price changed without notice.
Third-party costs
Domains, hosting, per-seat software, advertising spend and similar costs are paid by you directly to those providers and are not included in our fees.
10. Subscription and cancellation
Self Operate renews monthly until cancelled. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period, and we do not pro-rate partial months unless we say otherwise in writing. Non-payment may suspend the operating layer.
11. What you keep if you cancel
Your business, your accounts and your data. Cancelling stops the operating layer, not your ownership. You can export your company data, and we will not delete your data without giving you a reasonable opportunity to export it.
12. No professional advice
SelfOperate is not a law firm, accounting firm or tax adviser, and nothing it produces is legal, tax, accounting or insurance advice. Company formation steps, tax registration and licensing are guided as actions for you to take and confirm. Use a qualified professional for decisions that need one.
13. No guarantee of results
We do not promise customers, revenue, rankings, or any business outcome. What we deliver is the work described, built and verified. Business results depend on factors outside our control.
14. Availability
We aim to keep SelfOperate available and working, and we do not currently offer a service-level agreement or a guaranteed uptime commitment. The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the extent the law allows, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
15. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data, even if advised such damages were possible. Our total liability arising out of or relating to these terms is limited to the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or death or personal injury caused by negligence.
16. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate an account for non-payment, unlawful use, or activity that threatens the security of the service or other customers. Except where immediate action is needed, we will tell you first and give you a chance to put it right. You may stop using SelfOperate at any time.
17. Export and handover
You can request an export of your company data while your account is open, and we will provide it in a structured, readable form. Accounts created in your name remain accessible to you independently of SelfOperate.
18. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When a change is material we will update the effective date and notify account holders. Continuing to use the service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
19. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The state and federal courts located in Texas have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from them.
